|"We are so thrilled with the painting. It makes me smile every day when I look at it! Reactions from visitors have been great too. We've all been struck by how cleverly you've captured the boys, Will's energy and Tom's poise. It also works brilliantly as a piece of art itself. People who don't know the kids have spent time looking at it, touching it etc too." Andrea Turpin. More comments below... |
In my paintings I am able to combine contemporary images with more traditional figurative form; I bring to my portraits a unique understanding of character, feeling and mood.
Commissioning a painting gives you the opportunity to own and enjoy a unique work of art that has special meaning to you and your family. I have painted numerous commissions in both formal and informal styles, and many of my paintings are in private homes and collections.
While sittings with the subject are often important, I can work equally from photographs, or a combination of both. I send regular images by e-mail as the painting develops, and I welcome any discussion and input. It is exciting to see your painting grow and change.

"I love Annabel's work and over the years that I have been following what she does, I have seen her work through a range of themes and concepts, each time experimenting and extending her use of colour, texture and form. Because her work is so varied it has been difficult for me to restrict myself to just one painting - so I have four!" Marion Butler
"Now that I have got the painting home, I just wanted to thank you for creating such a fabulous picture for me and the kids. I am delighted with the result; it's something unique and really special. I would like to talk to you about another commission; I will give you a call in September after the summer holidays. Many thanks. Peter." Peter Jackson
"We were delighted with the portrait Annabel did of our three children. We think she caught a great likeness of each of them. The picture was a 40th birthday present for me and has become very precious to me in many ways. It hangs in pride of place in our sitting room and is a beautiful picture in itself." Clare Maclure
